Welcome to the Recording Forums archive of audio recording posts from the old Recording Website Message Board

Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

yep, the more things change the more they stay the same. You've got all the 'old timers' sniffing each others butts while the rest of us get ignored.

I can't even use my favorite handle, this stupid board only sees Mr. Half a B.  So now I have half a B. But what really tops it is I don't show up as logged on. Like always I'm infuckingvisable. But that ain't all bad either. You may not see me but I'm watching. heh heh heh

Have a nice day, I'm going to work.

Hiya Mr. Half A Brain:)  I'll answer you...but I don't know much about this side of the board...that's why I'm here...I need answers myself. Old Dan is still working out all the bugs with the new board systems and I'm sure he will help you get logged in.
Don't work too hard k?

I have to log on every time too and I accept cookies, oreos, and them choclate covered marshmallow thingies with the sprinkles. Old Dan will have it figured out soon Im sure. In the meantime, if I smell anything shitty, Ill consider myself an oldtimer...ha.

You 'new timers' are going to have to accept responsibility and sniff each other's butts. No one else is going to do it for you. Nice self portrait, BTW.

'new timer' huh.  Well answer me this, who put up the original subt board and why? Only real old timers will know that!

And glad you like my picture.

which it often does not, I believe it was Ron Milkowski and Joe Murray who worked together on their entry for Sub I.  It was set up as a comment board for that CD.  This is from an oldtimer here and in real life.

Go back a bit further, Big D ... I think the original original Board (!) was down to Luke Loeffler was it not?

You are correct Mike but he asked for the original subt recording site, not the original recording website.

Rats! You're quite right ... I didn't look closely enough at the question!::)

close. It was started by Ron & Joe. Now why did they start it?

They started the SubT board because SubT messages were filling up the main messageboard run by Luke. The SubT board therefore became the forum to discuss the ongoing SubT projects........

Well if I remember correctly Ron and Joe set it up originally to handle the overflow from the analog/digital debate.

So do I get a cookie?

old dan gets the cookie.:)

I'm surprised no one else remembers.

Nothing to add, I have no idea what you're talking about. I just wanted to see what a 'hot' topic looked like ;D

c'mon Old Dan... you left out a few details. As I remember it was specifically about MD/compression gettting trashed and Mr "G" aka Mr Blonde was the defender of analog (with allies such as Silent Bob). This digital side was being driven by Luke, me and others... it got so hot that Percy (the man) suggested the idea which grew into Sub T ONE!! thats how I remember it.

I can't have cookies now since I'm off the sugar until the Doc lets me start living again (Old Timer fer sure)
