Welcome to the Recording Forums archive of audio recording posts from the old Recording Website Message Board

Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

I know the Alesis SR-16 drum machine has been made for several years now. Pretty easy to find them used at good prices, too. Have any changes been made to them in recent years, or are they pretty much all the same? I emailed Alesis with this question, and apparently nobody there is interested in gettin back to me. Thanks;)

Nope....they the same since the last ten years or so. The last one I had had something rattling inside it. I took it apart and it had a capicitor pinched and broken in half between a assembly lug at construction. I emailed them about it and they never replied.
Dump it and get a Boss DR-770. More memory and way better sounds.
Roid.
