Welcome to the Recording Forums archive of audio recording posts from the old Recording Website Message Board

Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

Well, anything is possible, but is it probable?

I would seriously consider ditch trying to monitor your work with PC speakers, and using headphones will not work, that is, if you plan to do any mixing.

I agree with beetle,
If you mix on your headphones you will not get the same result when you play your mix over speakers. The idea is to listen to it the same way the average joe would. (maybe im wrong) I don't have the funds for an amp and studio monitors, so instead of running through PC speakers I run my sound card out to my home stereo. Primitive but it works.
Good luck
