Welcome to the Recording Forums archive of audio recording posts from the old Recording Website Message Board

Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

Subject: Problem editing drum!
by Ciccio   |   06/06/01 at 16:29:47

Hi!I recorded with cubase a drum kit with 9 microphones (2 on overheads, 1 snare , 1 kick , 1 hithat and 4 toms) in a total of 5 tracks ( 2 stereo and 3 mono) but recently i noticed that there are some problems with the kick , HH and toms!
So i would to edit this parts but i don't know how to correct conseguently the overheads without lose the cymbals decay and the syncronization of the the other tracks!

Thank you in advance.

Are you saying you want to re-record the kick, toms & hihats?
Aren't the problems audible in the overheads too?
Why don't you just re-record the drums? :o
