Welcome to the Recording Forums archive of audio recording posts from the old Recording Website Message Board

Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

Hi
I,am new to this forum and have some questions as to what equipment to use to record with.I have a Mackie 12 vlz mixer(will this give me enough otions for recording ??).I don,t know if i should use a fostex x 34 or some other kind of analog machine or go with digital and or mini-disc.I have a good computer.I just don,t want to buy something and say later i should have gone the other way without first trying to get some info on this. This is for some home brewed one man music recording. Thanks Joe@Radtubes
