Does anybody have plans for a simple optical compressor? Sombody at work gave me 3 photo electric resistors and I want to build a compressor.

Oooh ... dreadfully non-linear, you'll hate it.
Keep 'em for no-crackle volume controls, or stabilising the output of steady signals such as audio oscillators ...
... or turning the house lights on at dusk when there's no-one home
... or automatically dipping your rear view mirror when another vehicle with bright lights comes up too close behind
... or .....

non-linear is what makes some optical comps special. I used to use a pair of Urei LA-4's that did not know the meaning of linear and they sounded great. one more color in the pallette.
