#4 C.C. Deville and his solo albums.
#5 Shania Twain (errrr lets see here, tie the knot with Mutt Lange super producer, have bad songs written for you, with the help of massive pitch correction "sing" on them... errr through the nose at least... then wear some tight revealing clothes and make some exploitation style videos... way to go girl!)
#6 Courtney Love... nuff said
#7 Kip Winger (doing ballet with a guitar in a rock video is just going TOO far man). :'( So sad.

Ha, Percy's post about his lazy garbage man cracks me up! Ya the 80's gets a bad rap... and rightly so. Still there was some good post-punk coming out in the early part. And early U2 of course. REM existed in this era though mostly on college radio. I'm down with Butthole Surfers. But ya, the 80s, what a sad time for popular music in general! Sheesh.
Max was drummer for "the Boss"? Man that's cool, I need to get with it. That guy REALLY kicks it.

I watched Conan from time to time and didnt pay enuff attention to MAX. Yeah he rocks. Thanks for the tip B.H. Ill be watchin him..the whole band is hot ya??
And Old Dan....IS THE GUY..WHO..runs this great place, made it what it is today..AND...absolutely ROCKS on SUB T 3. SMILE AT ME...Check it out folks and thats Silent Bob drumming...Great example of intensity builing in a song....should be on the Subt Greatest Hits cd. THATS WHO OLD DAN IS ...pinnhed

He's done even more than I knew. It's too bad drummers don't get more notice. About the only ones that most people know about are Ringo, Neil Pert (sp?) and Buddy Rich.
and dittos on the Butthole Surfers, U2 and REM. But I think Orange Crush didn't come out till 88. Could be wrong. And has anybody heard of Los Lobos? They do some kickass surfer music. In really strange costumes.

Well I personally feel there was some kick ass stuff coming out of the 80's... big hair, big make-up, big guitars, 500 piece drum cages, monsterous rock festivals, Michael Milken, Donald Trump, technical guitar solos, mulletts, the last of the true NHL dynasties, Magic, Michael and Byrd, Cosby, Ronald Reagan, Madonna, Thriller, Weird Al, Pyromania, Van Hagar, and my favorite product of the 80's... the rubik's cube!

Yep, for any who didn't know...Mad Max is the E Street Band's drummer.
So, Banana, you know the Fletch from Mercenery as well...interesting chap, never hesitates to tell it like it is.
And Dan, "Smile at Me" is my favorite song from Sub T III. It oughta be in a movie. So simple, yet so effective. You just can't help singing along.

Don't have to, I've got a tape in my car called Carolan's Cottage. It's a bunch of his songs done on hammered dulcimer. Can't remember off the top of my head who the performers are and I'm too lazy to go get the tape. But it is an incredible listening experience.
And thank you Percy and Tedster, you guys are too kind. My favorite two songs off the whole subt series so far are 'Waiting for You' and 'Christmas by Wire'. Actually, there isn't a bad song on any of the cd's. Ok, maybe 'Autumn Jam'.

I demand an apology! In fackt, you still haven't apologized for taping that "IM A DICK" sign on my back last Monday. If I hadn't changed my shirt on Thursday, I'd probably still be wearing it. You and Dilbert are the biggest trouble makers here. And if I'm such an idiot, how come I'm your boss, in spite of being hopelessly incompetant?
