Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

i would like to know how do i record a vocal track from my roland vs880ex to my sonar cakewalk software, edit the voice add effects then rerecord those vocals back in sync into the vs880ex. also how can i record vocals while listening to the other tracks through the headphones and not pick up signals from the headphones leaking into the mike. your replies will be most appreciated.

No idea about the first part of your problem, but as for the headphones, you'll just have to cup the ones you have tighter to your ears when singing, or get a more ear hugging pair of phones to minimize the leakage. ;)
