Welcome to the Recording Forums archive of audio recording posts from the old Recording Website Message Board

Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

Subject: Got CakeWalk  HS 9.0?I still I
by Bob Boberann   |   02/23/01 at 11:55:26

I bought CakeWalk Home Studio 9.0 last year. I've since bought another computer and need to re-install. I have the CD Key, but later in the installation, it asks me for the serial number and tells me it's on the registration card. Like I kept the registration card!

So, now I stand at your mercy. If you can get to your serial number (not the cdkey, I have that), please post or send it to the email address.

And you, my friend, will be someone's HERO.

Thanks

PS - You can probably see it if you choose "ABOUT" under the Help Menu on top.

Actually, I tried that. Because I never registered, they can't (or won't) give me a serial number. Which is understandable. I also received an email from someone who was very mad that I was trying to do something illegal. Again, I am not asking for the CD Key because this is hacked software, I need a serial number because I am irresponsible. Stupid yes, theif no. Trust me, as they say, I work for the government.;)
