Welcome to the Recording Forums archive of audio recording posts from the old Recording Website Message Board

Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

Subject: EQing on Pro Audio 9?
by lawrence   |   04/11/01 at 08:09:02

I downloaded the demo - does anybody know if there's a way to have real time EQing on Cakewalk Pro Audio 9?  It seems like it's a pretty big drawback if you have to change the EQ, listen, change, listen as opposed to being able to do it at once.  Obviously the most basic cassette 4 track can do this ... if Pro Audio 9 can't is there similar software that does.  BTW, I don't NEED midi capabilities.

Of course you can !!!

All effects put in the studioware mixer are realtime effects. You can also play the song, open the effect and make changes at the same time it's playing. If it's a short track, you just make a loop before you hit play.

But check for cpu usage !!
