Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

I once been told, the best software is the one you know. It's better to use a software less complete or cheaper if know how it works.
Humm ! I'm sure it's not a good help !
I've been using Cakewalk since ver. 2.1
and I really like the easy of use of the pro audio 9 ver. I've tried Cubase once and after 2 or 3 hours I decided I'd be better with my cakewalk. Cubase is great but I know cakewalk better.
Good luck !
;)

It depends of what you want to do. Record midi or audio or both. I'm working with Cool Edit Pro (audio) and I'm very satisfy. I recomend you Cool Edit Pro for audio, or cakewalk Pro Audio for midi and audio. You have also Vegas Pro by Sonic Foundry,
Quartz Audio etc...
Try with one of these..
have a Nice multitracking!!!!
