Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

Anybody here have or used Steinberg's Nuendo? The Nuendo page on their site seems to be down.

Yah I use Nuendo and I'm pretty happy with the program. It's easy to use and geared more to audio than midi. I don't use midi with this machine so I can't comment on that. The only reservation I have is that the ver 1.1 that shipped with my packaqge was bullet proof and ran very well, version 1.2 was also good, but Steinberg seems to have slipped into the cubase syndrom with 1.5. They released it with a lot of bugs and some of the original code scewed up by new features. They have released 2 beta versions since which have cleared upmost of the problems. I use it with a dual processor machine that really rocks. Lots of tracks and lots of plugs. Some of the nuendo plugs are pretty good some are so-so. I think it is a professional program capable of running a commercial facility. It also has video capabilities, but I've never used them. take care Logan
