Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

Subject: Pro Tools LE
by MacBarry | 04/05/01 at 09:03:21
Recently bought Pro Tools LE. My purpose is basic: record from lps to my computer, clean up the sound a bit and write to CD. Experience with previous Digidesign software useless; the new program is very confusing to me and the manual seems to discuss everything except what I want to do. Does anyone know of a basic guide I could use....or would anyone with knowledge of the subject be willing to help via e-mail or phone? I'll gladly pay for your expertise and time.

im not sure if pro tools le is the best program for what your doing...... i think you would be much happier with cleaning old lp's with steinberg clean.
just my opinoin though...

Hey MacBerry. I just wrote a hugh article (30 pages!!) on how to use the Protools software, and was going to post it to our articles page on this site as soon as it is edited. But I would be glad to send it to you now so you can look it over. Just let me know. Also, I would be glad to answer any specific questions you have about how to use it. Email me at the above address. Later. 8)
