Welcome to the Recording Forums archive of audio recording posts from the old Recording Website Message Board

Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

Subject: OT- Anbody have any experience with Young & Chang?

I'm considering buying a Young & Chang baby grand, the TG-150.
It's one of the less expensive entry level grands, and I'm curious as to what the consensus is regarding Y&C's quality & reliability.:D

Reliability??? What do you mean by that??? I didn't think there were pianos made that were unreliable.?

Quality,  if SOUND QUALITY has anything to do with it, you are barking up the wrong tree. I've played them before but NOT recorded them before. I just had to play one for about 5 seconds to know it is NOT one of the better or even intermediate sounding piano's around.

If LOOKING NICE, is all you need, then get one.

You know, over time? Cracking soundboards, action wearing out......
