Welcome to the Recording Forums archive of audio recording posts from the old Recording Website Message Board

Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

Subject: AArk24 comunicating w/ Cubase 5.0
by Keith   |   04/02/01 at 19:03:05

I have Aardvark's "Aark24" and Cubase 5.0 (vst32).

I am having a major problem getting them to work together, or maybe I simply have one of the components set up incorrect.  The main problem so far is that if I record track 1, and then record track 2 while monitoring track 1, they are off by .5 to 1 seconds when I play both of them back.  Can someone please help me figure this problem out.  I have emailed the respective companies and they have not been able to help.

I have already:set monitoring to "Global Disable" ; have multirecord as "active" ; have the asio driver as the aardvark ASIO driver ; ...

Thanks for the help, this is driving me crazy (along with the frustration of investing a lot of $ and then having such a basic problem)

Be strong man!!
Check this place out http://www.studio201.com/cwu/It's a great site with troubleshooting tips.

If you're only recording 1 track at a time, you don't need multi-record activated.
I don't know anything about the Aardvark though, but if it has an ASIO driver, they should be able to get along. I think I may have had this problem a long time ago, but I don't remember how I fixed it.
What's your preroll set at? Are you using MIDI at all? Email me privately if you like.
