Welcome to the Recording Forums archive of audio recording posts from the old Recording Website Message Board

Home recording and general music post from the archived Yabb Recording Website Message Board. Some of the info here may be outdated but many of the audio recording and home studio tips are still good. Note: The only tags I made and attempt to convert are italics, bold, center and underline. So if you see some gibberish surrounded by brackets, just ignore it.

Hey G,
Been a long time? You been doing any music or photography lately?

Hey Geoff,
How's it going. Around here the more things change the more they stay the same. Same old same old.
What you been up to. Made any new cd's?

Take care,
Dan

I basically shut down the creative side of my personality for about a year and a half, while my mother was suffering through the final stages of Alzheimer's Disease. She finally escaped the torture of it when she died last summer. I've been slowly getting back to being my old self since, and things are pretty good now. I bought a monsterous, high power motorcycle, which was a great way to get a zen-thing happening by blasting around on the great beast. My cousin from the UK, who is a pro drummer over there, is flying in on Sunday, and we're making a CD together. I'm really looking forward to getting a major studio tan. I'm going to try and stick around here and see how you guys are making out. Percy...You are right about the snow. It's madness. We've had over 14 feet of the stuff since December first.

sorry about your mom, that's a real bummer. Lost my mom several years ago and still think about her. Glad to hear you're getting back into music tho. You're way too talented not to.
Take care,
Dan

Sorry to hear about your mom, Geoff.  It's tough to go through so hang in there.

sorry to hear about your mom Mr Blonde... but with the Alzheimers I know it was hard to see her go through, so the peace is better.

I just logged back in myself after a few years of other things. I am really interested in getting more involved in my recording again and writing/ playing as well... still all for Jesus!

I wonder how many old SubT 1'ers are still out there...?
