Well, hello, allow me to be one of the first elite posters, being as I opened my big mouth and all.

I don't know if anyone here ever frequented the Kathode Ray Music IndieBoard, but I used to hang out there a bit. It was a place to share info about all aspects of music, but, especially, the "BIZ" side, the side that, say for instance, now you've got you're CD done, whaddya do with it.

Ally, you being probably the most into the biz one of us, you'll be a help. You are no doubt aware that there are a lot of scam artists out there who offer "record deals" and contracts, for a nominal fee, and then don't deliver on their promises. Making money off of people's vanity is a great way to do business, and much of it is legit (Revlon and Tascam share this, believe it or not)...but there are a lot of scheisters out there waiting for young bands with a few bucks looking to make their first big hit. Basically, biz advice is what I envisioned, as well as a catch all board...songwriting, any and all topics.

By the way, the Kathode Ray Indieboard went pay-per-view. I will let many cronies know of this board, too!

Enjoy!
