Master of Puppets was RAW. I remember the first time I heard it and thinking what the f**k? Bear in mind that this was the LA glam band period and I was used to the likes of RATT, Crue, Oz, etc. After the initial shock of how RAW M of P was, I found it very refreshing. The Black album kicks ass, but like you, I only pop it in every year or so. I will admit I haven't listened to the entire thing of M of P in ages though, but whenever a tune from that recording comes on the radio, I pay homage and bang my head in true 80's rocker fashion. Personally, I prefer Ride the Lightening over M of P and Black.
