Just finished reading all the posts on this one..hahahaha. Anyways when I was younger(in my 20's, Im 45 now) I used to get jitters/stagefright really bad.Shake and everything.Not good, couldnt play what I rehearsed perfectly, etc. Well this one time Im going through a seriousbout and some old guy about 45(haha) comes up to me and says " Would you rather be somwhere else right now??" I said "no", He said " That fear is just letting you know your alive and years from now, this is the day you'll remember regardless of the outcome. Enjoy the fear,enjoy the day, you are alive" Well I went and played and screwed up several times but I did enjoy myself and the day for the first time really and after thinking about what he said to me things got way better. Nowadays I get more nervous over the reviews of a cdr Ive sent to someone more than any gig.
