When I do solo gigs it is a little scarier than band gigs fer sure!
Knowing that it is all in the mind, I try to Psyhc myself a little. It's just me and my acoustic so I warm up back stage alone (or alone as I can get) with a couple of full songs. I tell myself (lie?) that am doing great and they (the crowd) is gonna love it! I know it is a good possibility because people have like me other times and I try to remember those times. (Don't think about the sucky times at all. Those people were all ASSHOLES and not hip!)
Then when I am on stage the first few songs are the real easy yet crowd pleasing ones. Tunes that are simple, familier and I can do in my sleep. I call them my warm up songs. Every one has songs like this. You can concentrate on doing them stylishly an well knowing you can't screw up too bad. Once the crowd gives you the feedback, thetre is no such thing as nerves..............
