It really depends on where I am playing whether I get nervous or not. When I perform locally...I don't seem to have too many problems. I'm usually nervous for the first song until I find out how the audience is gonna be...then I do fine. But send me to Nashville and put me in front of a bunch of executives and I'm as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. I have to keep telling myself to relax and that I'll do fine...but I still shake. Hate being so conscious. I usually say a lil prayer too.
It helps to have a band that knows your material too.... :)
