Gigging wages around the nation... |

Not to get personal...but I've contended that gig wages (particularly the ol' club scene) haven't changed hardly at all in over 20 years.
Just wondering what the average gig is netting around the country. With our acoustic trio, for a night at a small club (which is basically all we play, as big clubs want DJs or big shows) we're pulling teeth to get around $150, or 50 smackers per person (we've always done an even split). Now, some of you may be getting a lot more, if you're an established act and what not, but let's say if you're a five piece band with a sound person, bigger PA and all that, you may be getting more money, but in essence walking out with the same or even less at the end of a night.
