I read the other board a lot, and like anyone else, I skim over to find the info I can use. I don't have, for instance, a Roland V-860 or whatever it is, so posts of that nature that are gear-specific I usually bypass, (unless it's gear I have, of course). By the same token, I'm not much help on the "which is the better mic for mic'ing Tibetan Nose Flute?" type things, but I'll read those posts. I feel like I can contribute more here, even if it is just socially.

By the way, our band had something REEAAAALLY COOL happen to us last night. Scared us shitless, but we had just about the whole family of the late Gene Clark (the lead singer of The Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers, etc.) come out and hear us last night. That's like rock and roll royalty to me! As they didn't throw anything at us, we couldn't have sucked too bad! Sorry, but you know, when something cool happens to you, you've just gotta talk about it! I'll shut up now.
