I don't have experience with that particular series, but, the key to small gigs is portability, and a good "low setup time to highest possible overall sound quality" ratio. I'm sure you could use them at bigger gigs in some monitoring capacity, and even if you decide against using them for monitors, it's always prudent to have a small easy to set up rig. Are they powered? If not, what are you going to drive them with?
