I, too, would like to see the newest posts send the topic to the top; it makes for livelier discussion, and helps for those who don't check the board as often.

As far as the Music board, either way is fine; I never had a problem with a little off-topic musical discussion here.

With the archives--I've found them helpful, esp. to refer to an earlier question without having to ask it again (duh), but it would probably be wise to jettison the older ones to free up space if needed.
