WinME is more like Win98 with a built in Multimedia Engnine. Windows 2000 is based off NT and is nothing like WinME. In fact Windows 2000 is more multimedia unfriendly than NT is. 2000 is a HUGE improvement over NT for doing non-multimedia stuff, though.
