A good tip about EQ is that it's often what you take away that will make the difference, not what you add. Try not to solo the vocal when adjusting, this way you can hear, right away, if you are making a difference. As Jon said you have to check out your other tracks to see if you have a bunch of stuff loading up the same area of the frequecy range. Got a bunch of 250k giving power to the guitars and kit, that will really gum it up if you try to use that area to get some oomph out of the vocals. Do you write down your settings? This can help you remember what didn't work. What mic are you using and what medium are you recording to? Take care Logan
