I asked a question before about whether I should get the preamp or the neumman mic? I got the preamp/compressor/de-esser. I think I made a good choice. I just don't know what a basic setup is for compression and de-essing on hip-hop vocals (lots of staccato punchy sounds). I have been fooling around with the controls and it sounds much better than it did before... boosting the midrange really opens up the vocals, but on the eq there is a control for lo/mid/hi and mid frequency? What frequency is common?

If you can point me to a site where I can read more about this, I would appreciate that.
