I had one for about a year as well. And for demos, songwriting etc its good, but the atrac compression (even the latest version) really is going to be apparent. It sounds thinner even with good preamps. Other then that I really liked the way it worked.

There are some other small systems in $1500 price range that record to hard drive and dont compress the data. I would strongly recommend looking into these.
