Technically only, I do agree with the tape format you've
chosen. But I don't believe you'll get any business
that way. 2" 16's are rarely used anymore even though
it's common knowledge among seasoned engineers that
they sound superb compared to other formats.
By the way, I've heard of a 1" 4 track, but not a 2"
12 track.?
