Cool edit pro is a nice program and runs well on
most computers.
But my advice would be to call around and find a
small project studio and let the girls experience
a real studio. Most home based studios wont cost
much more than a couple tanks of gas per song.
They'll also have microphones that cost more than
a new riding lawn mower.
Try posting your location and I'm sure someone here
will know of a small studio in your area.
