Howdy folks, I'm upgrading my sound card to a multiple in/out situation. I need at least 4 (so the midiman seems to be the least I can use). BUT, it's been a while since I was in this market (2 years, nearly forever in PC sound cards) So, what's new? Anybody happy, unhappy with theirs? Why?

Here's what I'm looking at so far, I'd like to stay in the sub $500 range if possible.

DMAN 2044 (or whatever they call the 4/4 one now)
Layla (just outside the price range, but a nice unit!)

are there other good ones out there? I'd also like to get at least 20 bit recording, preferrably 24 bit
