I dont' have Vegas installed right now, but I'm wondering if there is an Option or Setting somewhere that automatically converts recorded files to 32 bit. Basically regardless of whatever bit size you record at, the file is automatically converted to 32. I know CEP has that option. But since you say you record at 16 bits and don't have the problem...hmmm.... try posting at the Vegas Message Board at www.sonicfoundry . The developers are pretty good about responding quickly.
