If you aren't going to do sereous stuff, Intel has a great card for $200 and ATI has a good capture/display combo card for the same price. Beware though, for moderately larger formats (like half DVD quality) you need like 800MHz processor and if you want to do DVD quality stuff, you need a Mac.
