I'm trying to record vocals with a 1680. The booth is sound proof and I have a VT mic ($600.00) going through a 266XL compressor limiter. My problem is that my recordings sound muggy. I don't hear the clarity that I hear when I listen to other tapes on the same system. The artist stands about 11 inches, I prefer 9 if you know what I mean, from the microphone when I record them. None of my recording cables run near my amp and power cables. If anyone could give me some help here I would appreciate it.
