Just this week I compressed an overhead mic with the RNC. I used an AKG414 overhead. Ran into the RNC in the mix, then out, then back in the other side of the RNC, then out again to the mixer. I used a 25:1 compression ratio with quick attack and slow release. Set the threshold for MAX compression while still getting a hot enough output signal. Used Supernice mode obviously. We are talking about off the meter 20db+ gain reduction at a 50:1+ ratio. Amazingly it sounded very clean, sparkly and sweet. Try doing THAT on a Behringer and see what it sounds like!
