I just discovered this website and message board. What a great find!
I want to record my band at gigs. I've done this before with a Yamaha MT120S
with good results. But I want to use more mics and am thinking about acquiring
a decent mixer. I found a good deal on a Behringer MX802A but I'm not sure
if I can do what I think I need to do. That is:
- Run PA and Bass directly into separate tracks.
- Run drum and/or guitar mics into the mixer.
- Run the mixer into the tape deck into separate tracks.Does this seem possible? Is there a better way to combine the use of a mixer and 4-track?
Oh yeah, I have a Shure SM85 condenser mic. I can't find specs for it anywhere.
The MX802A supplies 48v phantom power. Is this okay for the SM85?
- does the MX802A have the SUBs? DanH 22:49:41 2/25/00 (1)
