Sort of... all the posts I see that involve some sort of computer lingo has made me determined to learn about computers. I do have some background in computers (I set up novell networks in '89, but have been completely removed from anything technical since then, boy am I behind), and I work for a computer company (parts). So, because of reading posts about computer stuff in utter confusion, I just got started on a transfer to the Desktop Services Dept. where I work. I realize this doesn't teach me the specific programs (cool edit, sound forge, etc... am I close?) but at least I'll understand the hardware. No one probably cares, but I was inspired to do make this career change from this site specificlly. thanks
