I just purchased a Compaq 7470 computer to use for making CD mixes from my 8-track studio, and I'm wondering if the 533MHz K6-2 processor will be OK for this use. In the article on this site concerning using a PC for audio purposes, it says that an Intel processor is the safest bet. Does anyone out there have experience using a processor other than Intel? Please let me know --
