You probably don't need a compressor for the keyboard at all since the dynamics of synths are very limited. If you have balalced inputs on your 4 track, then it's a good idea to use the balanced outputs on your keyboard. If not, it probably doesn't matter which outputs you use. Also, I've noticed that running keyboards through amplifiers helps give the keyboard more character so it doesn't sound so steryl. If you have access to a decent amp, experiment with both micint the amp and running the keys direct into the 4-track and see which you like better.
