Try to minimize them from the start. A pop filter or a pencil taped lengthwise across the mic's windscreen (parallel to the diaphragm--works best with large diapraghm mics) can help with sharp sibilants and explosive plosives. Substituting "Z's" for "S's" and "B's" for "P's" is an effective singing technique. Also, be careful with the amount of reverb and delay; if your unit has adjustable parameters for eq, roll off some high end--darker returns sound more natural than bright ones.
