Hi everyone. It has been months since I have been on the message board. The reason is because I have an actual paying day job now, and once home, surfing the net is low on my priority.
Before I had a lot of time and no money to spend on music. Now I have scarce time and a lot of money to spend on music.
My day job is fun, but it is just a day job.My question to you all is how do you manage to get the music practice/composing/recording done consistently as well as doing the day job?
-is it of keeping things small and portable to work on music while at work?
-is it keeping things fully set up at home so "set up - take down" time is minimized?
-being flexible about how and when the music gets done (so it gets done under many circumstances)?
-being rigid about how and when the music gets done (so it does not get put off)?what does everyone here do? Many of us do not pay the bills through out music earnings, yet our bill-paying job is not our life dream... so what happens?
