Hi everyone - I've been mixing from minidisk to my PC with a "stock" soundcard which has a mini-plug stereo input. I have been going RCA out of the minidisk into a radio shack dual RCA-to-mini plug adapter, and I'm thinking about upgrading to a better card. The line out of the card sounds like crap, and I can't truly monitor the sound coming back from the PC as it's lacking low-end. Two questions: a) will a card with left & right RCA or 1/4" connections sound better (by that I mean cleaner & more headroom)? and b) if so, what's the best card I can get without spending any money on bells & whistles?
