Already been there and done that with digital clipping....since I went digital....with the TASCAM dA-38.
Had to redo a couple songs already cuz I did guitar parts that clipped but couldn't really hear too well with headphone buts the speaker farts (digital clipping) became obvious over the monitors.
Went back and re-recorded them and learned a lesson about levels & routing with my board.Again - I agree - you should prevent the distortion to start with, as for the tuning thing, well shit, tune your instruments and get a singer that can sing in key, or use the "Cher" device *laughs*
