i use two mics on guitars,congas,sax and most everything.what is best at mixdown as far as panning goes?should i keep the two mics panned close to each other,or spread them apart for a wide field.i realize alot is subjective regarding this.it seems if theres no phasing problems keeping them close is large and in your face.the spread you get with the more extreme panning gives awsome depth.But its harder to avoid masking.you guys got any thoughts on this?
