By the way, I changed my name to Juzzer, sounds better than just Juz!! Just wanted to let you know that I worked on a Neve VR console at college, lecturers talked about it like they just wanted to jump on it and give it a damn good you know what. What a great machine hey! Also, I did use a Yamaha pro-mix a few times, not enough to get the hang of it though. The reason I posted my Analogue vs. digital question was mainly to do with the recall abilities of digital mixers. I know they have built in FX and compression etc.. but how good is digital reverb and compression? My guess is that some things analogue are by far sweeter than digital sounds, especially when it comes to distortion, right? Anyway, in the future(Forgive me if I'm being brain-dead, but I can't be bothered to think what I'm writing) why can't the sampling rate be increased to infinity, why is digital equipment stuck at 48khz max? Why can't it be upped to 96khz at least or even 100,000,000khz, then surely we won't complain? Actually maybe digital will die and there will be something in a 5th dimension that we can't comprehend yet!! Good! Hope someone wants to reply!!
