so you're saying that converters haven't improved since laser discs huh?
i guess that technology just stood still while you were out.
when you get a chance, go through the specs of all the wonderful gear you own and see if any of it has a freq response beyond 22k.
not much does. besides nobody can hear it!
sure, there are overtones, etc, but they occur at lower frequencies, you know, the ones you can hear.
i wouldn't debate with you the fact that there is no audio above 22k with 44.1 digital. i believe that i said in my original post that that was true.
what i felt was untrue was the crap about "extreme distortion from 11k up".
and as I understand, YES studer has quit making wide-format analog decks.
anyone that gets offended by what i've posted simply has very thin skin.
