i read your post 3 times and failed to find the point.

i guess you're trying to say digital sucks? well, you won't get an argument from me. flawed at best.

my point was that this silent bob or whoever is saying that analog processing adds no noise and that digital is extermely distorted from 11k up. which isn't my experience.


i've probably worked in more analog studios than you've dreamt of.

conversion distorts the signal somewhat but many mastering engineers as well as mix engineers do it often and it is acceptable industry practice to do so when the situation warrants it. as you have mentioned a few times elsewhere this distortion can be desirable and tends to help with digi harshness.

digital is much better since you last used it. nine years ago digital was indeed much worse than now. may as well get used to it since studer quit making 2" 24.
