Try this:

move the mic around inside the kick and see if it still happens...

move the mic outside the kick and see if it still happens....

take the front head completely off the kick and try to find a place where this doesn't happen...

it sounds like some sort of phase cancellation thing happening- sounds like the mic is in the spot where the sound rebounding off the front head is cancelling out the back head.

are the heads in tune??
