Shoot me down in flames if you will, but an idea. We've still got the old "InsideTheWeb" temporary board, right? Welllll...
Most of us are more than recording enthusiasts here. Most of us are MUSICIANS. Although recording is the primary focus of our kinship here, a lot of us are working, writing, gigging, trying to further our careers, even if only on a local level. And what is the goal of recording? To get our music heard, by maybe just a few friends and local bar patrons, or on any one of a larger variety of scales.
That said, I would propose rather than let the other board die, we use it for music related topics not directly related to recording, i.e. "Anyone dealt with buttwad bar owners like this lately"...could be "How do I get my demo heard now that I've recorded it"...in other words, stuff that goes outside the realm of "What kind of mic will make the snare sound the best"...
